Vladimir PONOMARIOV

Born in 1960. Studied in Krasnoyarsk a School of arts,
Novosibirsk Conservatory and Post graduate course.
The composer, musical editor, chief of church chorus, teacher of Krasnoyarsk
Academy of music and theatre.
Basic compositions: several choral cantates, Concertino for a piano and
orchestra, concert for a chamber orchestra, several orchestral suites,
romances, sonates for various tools, cycle of Preludes for a piano. The
significant place in creativity is occupied by spiritual music: has written
2 "Liturgy", 2 "Vespers" 10 spiritual choral concerts, cycle of choruses
Peniticut song, etc.
In 1990 Vladimir Ponomariov created a vocal quartet, originally as an
ensemble of church singers. However soon the quartet became an appreciable
concert-collective of Krasnoyarsk. Since 1997 the quartet has existed as a professional
concert ensemble, which takes part in festivals of orthodox music and has
recordings on CD. Among the concert programs of the ensemble, besides church
songs, are programs of spiritual music of the different countries (in
five languages), madrigals of epoch of Renaissance, vocal jazz... Last
program have especial popularity in Krasnoyarsk and in other cities of
Russia, where the ensemble of Vladimir Ponomariov happens on tour.
